Attack of the Ants and Frosting Catastrophe!

So...Arent's ants suppose to die during the winter? Because I think this year instead of dying....they made their way to our bathroom. Just about every other day there will be a small pile of dead ants right next to my bathtub. I sweep them up, throw them away, and a couple days later, a pile of them re-appears. It is so strange. I don't know what kills them or why I see them dead more frequently than alive, but I do. Every now and then I see them alive and, shortly after, I kill them. Now, I'm not normally much of a bug killer, but I don't like them in my house, and I despise them most when they're in my bathroom. for some reason Jayson does not understand why they can be so gross to me inside but not outsied. They just simply do not belong in my bathroom. I thought about getting some ant killer, but then I realized that they already seem to be dying quite well on their own. So, I let the matter be....

Yesterday I was walking home from campus with a container of frosting in bag...and, let's just say my bag didn't quite contain the frosting. I got home and all over my scriptuer bag, scarf, glove, hat, work clothes, and belt was frosting. ALL OVER! I ran to throw everything into the washer, but to my dismay, the people upstairs were currently using the washer. So, *brilliant idea comes to head* I think, "I will put them in the bathtub and let them soak!!"

Later that night Jayson took me on a date to Chili's (our favorite place to eat, thanks to blackberry lemonade and white chocolate molten cake!) and he came home, went into the bathroom, started laughing and said....
"Karissa, come here....."
So, I come. I walk in, cringe a little (ok, a lot!) and Jayson says, "I don't think we should leave frosting in the bathtub when there's an ant infestation!"

Yup. There was a GIANT trail of ants leading from where I always find the dead ones, up the bathup, along the crease where the bathtub meets the wall, and into the tub. SO GROSS. We washed them down the drain and let the water run for a minute or so to secure the drowning.

DEATH AND DESTRUCTION TO THE ANTS.

The End.

I always wonder about bugs in the winter. They really should die, but some how they make it. I hate hate hate ants and I am very sorry you have them!! I am glad that you blogged. You are a blogger.

You crazy girl. Jeff and I used to sit on the floor in Aggie Village and watch the ants march along in the kitchen to the ant traps we set. Sickly delightful.

haha that is a funny story! I'm glad you got a blog Kriss! :) Learn something new everyday, right? I like Marni's comment. Ants are very weird, and its weird how many bugs survive during the winter. But I guess a lot of them would have to remain alive to reproduce.. hmm.
