Wowie! It has been a long time since we last posted. Since then we had our six-month monthaversary! That's right folks, we've been married for six months already! (well, ok, about seven now!) And what better way to celebrate it than with out favorite dining place....
CHILI'S! OF COURSE!
We live for blackberry lemonade and white-chocolate molten cake.
Dominic Craig Christiansen
This is his sister Kelli, our neice, holding "Baby D", as she calls him. She can't quite say Dominic yet! They're both so adorable. She was so cute with him at the hospital. She kept wanting to hold him. While she'd hold him she'd whisper, "baby. baby."
Speaking of Suzanne.....
Also, Jayson is now employed!!! He works for the city of Logan. He's the guy that delivers new garbage cans when people need them because of damage, excess of garbage, etc. He does it throughout the ENTIRE Cache Valley. He really likes it so far. He gets to wear BRIGHT yellow and orange shirts. He also got to meet the mayor. Plus, it pays really well for Logan! Also, they might train him to drive the garbage trucks! I'll have a garbage man for a husband! Sweet.
Probably the most exciting thing that has happened since we last blogged is that we got a new nephew!
There really is something SO precious about newborn babies. There is a spirit about that, to me, really testifies that there is a God. They are so pure and new. Their very presence just brings me joy.
Other than that life is pretty normal and swell. I really LOVE my job. The participants are so easy to love. One in particular likes me to play piano (even though I can barely read music.) So, I clunk away at the keys and he just looks like he is having the greatest time of his life. For a moment I felt like I was a famous piano player entertaining the happiest guy on earth. They just have a way of making you feel so special! I thought it was them that I'd be helping, but honestly, it's mostly the other way around!
As for school, I was doing this project that I was really starting to despise. I was grading syllabi, over sixty of them. I wanted so badly for it to be over. It was one of those projects that I really felt like it was running my life and I couldn't wait for freedom from it. I wished so much that it would just stop.
Be careful what you wish for.
The project is basically over for me now....it kind of fell apart. Well, not the project itself, it will continue, but they have to find someone else to finish it off because with all of the stuff I have to do there is no way I'll finish by the time they want me to. This is entirely my fault. You see, I have a very LARGE problem. I think it's due to over-confidence. I have a terrible habit of taking on too much at one time. I always think, "oh yea, I can totally handle that!" Then comes the trouble. It always inhibits my performace in just about everything. However, this time I hindered someone else's project. I feel SO terrible about it. I really really do. I really let down the people in charge of it. I hate that.
OTHER EVENTS:
We have spent two very enjoyable weekends in Duschene at my Dad's property. I love it there. I always just get just a great feeling when I'm there. It's one of those places that you go and you just think to yourself, "this is our place." I just know that so many great times are going to be had there. So many great times have already been had there! We also had the opportunity to go to the Oquirrh Mountain temple with two of my closest friends, Cameo and Suzanne. It is absolutely gorgeous there. I am obsessed with the chandeliers there! It is truly such a gorgeous place, filled with the spirit.
Speaking of Suzanne.....
She has been called to serve in...
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI!!!! Congratulations Suz. You're gonna be a rockin' missionary!

So - I love reading your blog. I really do. Plus I love the new layout - Kimpact is very clever. I like it. I have the same problem with taking on too much at one time and thinking I can do it. It sucks. :) CUTE BABY DOMINIC! and his sister is cute too! Oh, and the property sounds wonderful.
