I LOVE water.
I can't explain it. I love the way it feels. I love the way it tastes. I love way it smells. I love the way it looks. I love the way it sounds.
Water is my main staple of drink. I drink it pretty much all day, everyday.
It is my favorite place to work out. I was a swimmer and water polo player in high school, and I wouldn't have rather done any other sport. I love that when you're in it, you don't feel yourself sweat. There is no feeling like crashing through the water to get to the polo ball and getting splashed while trying to figure out what to do with it. There is nothing like being as graceful as you can to create an aerodynamic way of passing through while swimming laps.
All of my favorite recreational activities involve water. I love to ski, tube, knee board, and just sitting on a boat while the waves crash against it. There is NOTHING like the feeling of skiing outside of the lake on glassy water. It is an indescribable feeling and cannot be created, described, or compared to anything else.
I think it's the most beautiful thing to watch the sun dance upon the water.
I love the wavy reflections that the water brings of solid objects, making them more maliable looking. It's nature's way of painting. It's a different way of looking at what is real.
The sound of light waves crashing upon the beach is one of the very best sounds in existance.
I love smells associated with water. Sunscreen, fish, chlorine, you name it. (Ok, maybe not swampy stagnant water smell. Stagnant water is my enemy. )
Scenery is always more beautiful when a large body of water is involved.
Harbors are one of my very favorite places to be.
This is not a recent development. My dad has always called me a fish because when I was younger you could not keep me out of the water. I dreamed of being a mermaid through my whole childhood, and I will just say that living under the sea has not yet lost its appeal for me.
Amoung all animals my favorite are those of the sea. They are so unique and beautiful. (My very favorite is the Sea Horse, incase you were curious.) there are animals that look like plants, animals that are ENORMOUS, and incredibly bright colored ones too.
The Ocean (any one will do) and Lake Powell are my two favorite bodies of water. I have often joked that a Piece of my heart dwells in Lake Powell, and my heart is only whole when I am there.
When I'm in or near the water I just feel more whole, more me. It completes me.
WATER IS MY ELEMENT.

Shut up!!! When I was in preschool, when anyone asked what I wanted to be when I grew up I told them a mermaid!!! hahaha. Yesss. I'm not alone.
And the one time I've actually been to Lake Powell, I loved it. Definitely want to go more often.
You and your water. Classic Karissa. This post made me miss you pretty bad.
