I was thinking that all we had going on over the last two months was adoption papers, but then I was looking over my pictures in my camera and realized I was quite mistaken! It turns out May and June were pretty eventful and we did a whole lot of fun things!
So, let's have a re-cap, shall we?
In May we hosted our very first BBQ! The Brough's decided to move away and we were pretty sad about it, so we had them and the White's over and threw them a good bye BBQ bash, which is now going to be an annual thing, apparently. :)
Look at that food. Oh it was so delicious! And, I discovered the best hot dogs ever.
We also decided to plant some flowers in our yard! Our grass may be in a sad state, but hey, at least we have pretty flowers, am I right?
And, I got to watch this cute guy for a whole weekend and it was delightful.
I also threw my step sister a bridal shower! My camera died after I took like five pictures, but you get the idea.
Above is the woman of the hour!
I'm kind of obsessed with the Summer Solstice, so we celebrated by getting snow cones with ice cream in them! So delicious! I probably took too many pictures of this event, but I was just so in love with the lighting that was going on.
His face! It kills me. I just love that picture!
And, on the First Friday of Summer we had our home study. Let me show you how it went:
Also, we got another Bountiful Basket and low and behold it had blueberries in it! So, Jayson made some blueberry muffins with them upon my request and they were incredible. I've never had them with fresh blueberries before! Naturally, I had to document this and the picture below shows how Jayson felt about me documenting this:
And at the end of June a delightful miracle occured! Three out of the four of my bestest friends that live out of town were in town. In the same week! You guys, it was crazy. And so very wonderful. We even got to go wedding dress shopping with Sue (the one in the middle) and I got to be there when she found the one she bought! I will tell you ladies and gentlemen, it is a beauty.
It was also my first time meeting Avery! She's such a lovely little girl!
I can't get enough of this picture of Marni and Avery. It cracks me up.
And here are some of darling Nolie, because, who can get enough of this girl?! No one. No one in the world, that's who.
And also, I helped throw a shower for my friend Kelly, which will probably need its own post because I want to show you how brilliantly the other Kelli decorated for it. Seriously you guys, it's Pin worthy. She's amazing.
The very last day of the month was the very best- my step-sister Britnie got married! This is also going to need it's own post, because I have some wonderful pictures to share! It such a fabulous wedding!
So, there you have it May and June were good to us.

And I decided to get a hair cut! I really love it! Although, it did turn out to be a bit more high maintenance than I anticipated.
