"Bee"

This is a post about my pup.

Before Ruby was ours she Jayson's brother's and his family's. Their little boy, our nephew, used to call her "Bee" because he couldn't say Ruby yet.

*Side note- before they owned her someone else did and they had named her Reba, which is pretty rad, since she has long and wavy red hair.

Anyway. I've taken to calling her Bee lately.

Our little fluff-ball of a dog is absolutely perfect for us. She's pretty calm, but gets spurts of energy where she's playful and excited, which is perfect for Jayson. She is the PERFECT dog for Jayson.

Let me tell you about Jayson. Jayson likes dogs, but he does not love them. Dogs test his patience. For years we would always argue back on forth on whether or not we'd have an inside dog or an outside dog. Obviously I was pro inside dog. I mean, what's the point of having a dog if they're just outside all of the time, am I right? And so, obviously I won. But, it was only because we already knew that Ruby was a good dog.

You guys! I don't mean to brag, but she's great. She minds really well, she's super smart, she's really sweet, she doesn't chew things up (except paper and her toys. I don't know what it is, but the girl loves to chew up paper.)

And Jayson loves her. Seriously, fate brought her to us. Fate in the form of Jayson's brother and his family.
I don't know, I guess dogs are just a really big deal to me, so the fact that we found a dog that Jayson loves is a huge deal. Like, I don't feel whole without a dog. I know, I know. I'm the craziest.

And he's not allergic to her. Win-win!

Anyway, I'm going to stop going on and on and show you pictures. Because she's the cutest.

And, so, in no particular order:

Bee gets pretty freaked out when we clean. She's afraid of the vacuum, the broom, the mop, etc. And she hates it when we move the furniture on the rug to sweep and mop. And she hates that we move her toys off of the rug so we can vacuum.

This is her concentrating face and it's my favorite.
Well, that and the face she makes when she wants you to pet her and she just lays at your feet wagging her little tail. That's the best too.

Ruby had a hard time with other dogs when we first got her, but she's doing SO much better now. I think the gigantic, but sweet Nasher helped her a lot, along with her other pup-friend Luna.

* another side note, I love her curls. Her hair is mostly wavy, but she has some really tight curls by her neck that are the prettiest.

One time we dog-sat Miss Luna for the weekend whilst our friends Rob and Vienna were out of town and her and Ruby got into mischief, as you can see, by the brown color of the water. They had a blast. Ok, I had a blast too. They're the cutest!

Ruby and Nasher.

As of late Ruby has taken to laying next to the door when either one of us is in the bathroom. One day I saw her little ear poking out from under the door and, naturally, I had to instagram that.

Jayson and Ruby have the same hair. I love my gingers!

Once upon a time Ruby didn't really like snuggling that much. She loved (and still loves) when you pet her, scratch her belly, etc, but she didn't seem to want to lay in lap or anything. But, worry not. I've turned her into a snuggler.

Ruby hates baths more than almost anything. Her bath-self cracks me up.

Ruby's favorite thing is to go for walks. (actually her real favorite thing is to run around outside without her leash). She seems to love the snow...but she hates the rain. Anyway, sometimes the snow sometimes clumps on her fur like so, which is funny and also annoying.

This is probably my favorite picture of her. She's waiting for Jayson to come in from working in the garage. She probably laid like that for a good fifteen minutes at least. It was the cutest.

I won't lie, writing this kind of made me feel like a crazy person who might be a little too obsessed with her dog. But such is life. It's true. I just love this girl to pieces.

NONSENSE! There is no such thing as being too crazy or obsessed over a dog!
