Apparently, I've been in touch with my inner artist as of late. On a seemingly completely different note (it relates, I promise) Jayson and I volunteered for this international friendship program type thing (I am ashamed to say, I can never remember the actual name of the program). How it works is that you are assigned a foreighn exchange student from the University of Utah and you're just suppose to hang out with them about once a month so that they can get more of a feel for the culture of Utah and they can see what family life is like in a different place. Pretty cool, right? I agree. We were assigned this incredibly cute girl name Jenny, from Korea. Remember how our last name is really common in Korea? Well, Jenny has the samem last name as us, so basically it was meant to be. We hung out with her for the second time last Sunday. We invited her over to my dad's house for dinner and she brought her friend Alice. We thought it would be really fun to color Easter eggs with them since they had never done it before. Jenny is an egg artist. She put us egg coloring veterans to shame. Seriously, she was painting stuff with the die! It was amazing!!
Left: Alice Right: Jenny -Apparently the peace sign with your eye in the middle is a really big thing in Korea, and I like it.
Apparently cheesey grins are a big thing in caucasian Kim culture, and I like it.
Yup, I DID put bleach splotches all over my shirt. I'm pretty pleased with it. I think it looks like the sky.
On a completely unrelated note, (but I made it related by making art the theme of this post, remember?) the other day when I was doing laundry I got a GIGANTIC bleach spot on one of my favorite shirts. I was kinda sad, but my sister in law, Karissa, gave me the greatest suggestion.
So, I took her advise.

Also, did I mention that my oldest nephew, Drew, got baptized last weekend? Well, he did! Can you believe I have a nephew that is 8 years old? I certainly can't. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful program. Unfortunately, I failed to take a single picture. I wish I had because, ya know, baptisms are a pretty big deal; Bigger and more deserving than being a side note on a post about coloring eggs and bleaching my shirt, but I don't feel like I have enough to write about it, so it wouldn't be a very good post without some pictures. Maybe if my sister in law posts some on Facebook I'll snag a few. It was a really great baptism though. There was such a lovely and peaceful feeling through out the whole thing.
While Drew was getting dressed after the baptism and everyone was waiting for him to come back out his little brother, Mackay, who is almost four, kept loudly stating that He wanted to be baptized. His mom tried to explain that he had to wait until he got bigger, but he only disputed this by saying, "I am big!!". It was kind of hilarious. Poor kid. It must be tough being the youngest of three boys...always being told that you have to wait to be able to do the things that the older ones are doing. I feel ya Mackay, waiting is hard to do.

FUN!!! I love dying Easter Eggs! We did that yesterday - and dang, she would've put me to shame too! That's way cool that you signed up for that program, by the way - what a neat experience!
Also - that bleached-shirt?! SO CREATIVE & CUTE!!! I'm tempted to just start doing that to some of my plain Ts ;)
