May!!!

Ok, so I should really be in bed right now. I'm probably going to be mad at myself for this in the morning, but I really just feel the need to blog right now.

So, MAY IS HERE! Say wha?
I'm beyond thrilled. May is the beginning of a long string of my favorite months. All of my favorite months are in a row. May-October. I LOVE them. Then, November and December in a close second, because of the holidays of course. The other months are not really my favorite, so I'm pretty stoked that all of my favorites are up ahead of me.

Right now though, I want to talk about the SUMMER months. Oh how I long for them. For the purposes of this blog we are counting May as a summer month. May is summer in my head. You can tell me it's spring all you want and I know you're right, but to me it's summer. When school is out it is summer and I know plenty of people that either are done or will be done in a few days, so, it's summer.

Have I ever told you that I LOVE summer? Well, I do. It's always filled with sun, warmth, excitement, and being outside. I love outside. You know what is the best? Saturdays when everyone is out playing in their yard. It's amazing! You can also be sure it will be filled with camping, bbq's, fun events, and lots of friends and family time. You can bet on it, this summer will be no exception.
The line up:

MAY

  • Camping with my Grandparents, Mom, Todd, and Step sisters.

  • Weddings! I already have quite a few this month. I do love weddings.

  • Birthdays. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Half of the people I know are born in May.

  • We've been invited to the first BBQ of the season already. I am STOKED.

  • Fondue party next week

  • Otis Yawn Run. This is difficult to explain, but just know that I'm really excited about it. Really, it's just lots friends getting together to eat ribs. It's gonna be a wacky fun time.

  • I get to see my long lost Marni friend who lives in Arizona

  • Death Cab for Cutie album will be released. EEEEE!!!

JUNE

We really have only one plan for June so far, and that is to (hopefully) close on a house!! Then once that happens, we will work a lot to get it fixed up. It's definately one of those, first homes, fixer upper kind of deals, but we are excited! Ok, I'm actually pretty nervous and sort of freaked out about the whole thing because..guys...this is HUGE. I mean an incredibly HUGE responsibility. Also, houses are expensive. I kind of feel like I'm in way over my head, but we feel really good about it. Don't worry though, I promise I'm pretty excited, along with all of that nervousness. So, as long as inspecitons continue to go well, it's ours! It's in a beautiful area, the people seem friendly, it has hardwood floors, and it's cute and small (which is perfect for us. Who wants to clean a giant house when only two people are living in it? not me.). It comes with all of the appliances and a HUGE backyard. Seriously guys, it's on 1/3 of an acre lot. Plus, we're actually excited to do some work on it. It's sort of like our little project. We get to go in there and make it our own. We have a great advantage in that we happen to know a whole lot of people who are good at fixing up things like that too, so even though it will take time, it won't take too much money. So, here's to hoping it all works out!

JULY

  • Did someone say Bear Lake? YAY!

  • HARRY POTTER!!!!

  • Starvation Reservoir

AUGUST

  • Death Cab is coming for concert! I don't actually know if I'm going yet, but I'm trying to convince Jayson that it's kind of something I really have to do...

  • Relaxing. August has always been my relaxing month. Summer always has so much going on, which is fun, but by the end I need some good resting. There's nothing better than relaxing in the sun!

Well, there you have it. This could turn out to be one of the best summers yet.

I read this and just smiled and smiled because it made me think of how much you hate spring. And it made me love you some more.

Yay! I'm excited for summer as well - usually I'm more of a Spring and Fall person, but I am so sick of this cold that I can't wait for Summer!

Also I completely understand your feelings about buying your own place - scary and exciting! It will be good though! :)

Aren't you glad April's over? I never asked you if it was as bad as usual this year, now that we're out of school. For me, it seemed a little better. But I'm still glad it's over.
